At Natural Capital Trust (NCT), we believe in a world where everyone, especially those on the margins, has the opportunity to live a life of dignity.
Established in 2013, we're a non-governmental organization dedicated to making that vision a reality. We work hand-in-hand with communities to implement impactful socio-economic interventions, focusing on vital areas like water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), climate action, gender equality, and livelihood development.
Our journey began with on-the-ground research exploring rainwater harvesting practices in Makueni County. This experience ignited a passion for empowering communities, leading us to work extensively in both the Kibera informal settlement and rural Kenya. We have built strong grassroots structures and fostered vibrant networks of community and field workers across Kibera, Vihiga, Kisumu, and Siaya Counties.
Over the past five years, thanks to the generous support of our partners, we've implemented projects worth USD 500,000. These initiatives, driven by our flagship programs – KISKAM, Jollyland WASH, and MISSIUP – are making a tangible difference in the lives of the people we serve. We're committed to building a brighter future, with those we serve, for all.
A world where every individual, especially those on the margins, has the opportunity to live a life of dignity and thrive in sustainable, empowered communities.
To empower communities through impactful socio-economic interventions that promote access to WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), climate resilience, social justice, and sustainable livelihoods. By working hand-in-hand with grassroots networks and partners, we strive to build brighter, more equitable futures for all.
The Organization Works to build community capacities to manage, use and conserve their natural resources sustainably.
Conscious of the multidimensional nature of the quest for sustainable livelihoods and poverty reduction.
NCT realizes that the missing link between potential and prosperity could be triggered by mobilization.
