Provision of safe water, sanitation and hygiene education to the needy populations in urban informal settlements and rural areas is fundamental in achieving the SDG 4 and 6. NCT has partnered with HCSOM to make this a reality for communities in the informal settlement. In realization that most well intended projects to improve the wellbeing of people fall short of achieving anticipated goals due to institutional weaknesses, NCT has embarked on revival of such projects through resuscitation of sustainability dimensions such as capacity, management systems, social cohesion and entrepreneurship. The Jollyland project initiated in 2011, a big investment, operated for a short duration and later on was closed for a couple of reasons. It has taken NCT almost year to have the project back on track and it is expected that in line with the NCT community projects development framework, the project will sustainably meet the underlying objectives.
